New Character Concept - Witch Doctor Gal - WIP

I've been brainstorming numerous ideas for either a children's horror series, similar to Goosebumps Are You Afraid of The Dark, or a children's mystery show similar to Gravity Falls. Either of which will involve dark and creepy undertones, and shady characters; this being one of them, a voodoo priestess, partly inspired by Marie Laveau.

Rather than a hermit or a hag in appearance, she's young and somewhat modern in her attitude, though her shady nature is still there. For comic relief (a rather gallows humor actually) the skull on her staff is possessed by the spirit of her grandmother... in fact that IS her actual skull right there. The two would share banter with one another regarding their deeds (or hers alone) and rather than the main girl being mostly calm and collective, she'd be somewhat embarrassed by her overbearing granny, but still loves and looks up to her for advice. Sort of a Penny Proud and Suga Mama relationship. (then again that may not be exactly how I remember it)

I guess I'd have to draw out more roughs of the concept for a better idea.
