My Own Hulk Medicine

Description

Okay so no doubt a good number of you probably don't get this piece, but earlier this year (or the year before) I tried practicing my voice acting... and I nearly blew out my voice. One of my peers on Campus recommended I take Honey and Loquat Syrup; that was the first time I ever even heard of such a thing that existed, and she told me it's even better than standard cough medicine, and not long after a fellow voice actors enthusiast recommended I this exact brand-- Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa. It's a Chinese Honey Loquat Syrup that opera singers would take before or after rehearsal; and apparently even voice actors take them, one in particular being Fred Tatasciore, who is perhaps best known for voicing The Incredible Hulk, as well as other big monster type characters, hence why it's sometimes referred to in the voice acting community as "Hulk Juice."

And recently another voice actor named Darin De Paul, best known for Reinhardt in Overwatch, also brought up this in an interview on hi job in recording his performances in Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, in how it's like a coat that protects your throat from being warn down; and that was the final straw for me, so I went franticly to find it, and low and behold, an asian market actually does have this stuff... and I don't regret buying it.

In fact going back to one of my collogues back at school, this is indeed the same brand she's referring to.

Whenever I do practice acting or singing (horribly mind you) this stuff actually does save my life; granted it doesn't improve my vocal range but it does protect my throat from warring out. You can take it by itself or you can even add it to hot water, herbal tea, or even juice, and the best part it takes pretty good and actually is better than most cough meds.

Like I said, it doesn't make me a better actor or singer, but it does help. In fact, that's why I brought this up in my Troy Troodon's Voice Acting Tips
